It was first printed in 1896, but reprinted in 1973. It has the old German font, but I am chewing my way through some of it. I learned a bit more about Balthasar Hübmeier - a famous figure in Baptist history. I will write some more about him as I learn more - before his salvation he was a Catholic priest here in Regensburg. He was burned at the stake in Vienna in 1528.

This town is about 25 KM from us - the Christmas Market is up by the castle. If you have never experienced the Christmas season in Germany or Austria, you are missing out! We took Julia's mom here, and needless to say, she loved it!

View of our town

I brought the kids up to a hilltop overlooking the town of Laaber tonight...I was hoping to get a sunset view but the clouds did not cooperate. We still think this is one if the most beautiful places on earth! Think we will sit here and enjoy the view a bit...

We were out at a shopping center here in Rothenburg this week and saw this unusual vehicle. What do you think it is? Look closely...yes, there is a company here in Germany that will come to your shopping center and wash your shopping carts for you!

Mission Possible Retreat in Rothenburg o.d. There is one more night left- the picture is of Chuck and Jennifer Leonard singing the first night of the conference. This year's theme was "Joy in Serving Jesus" and it truly was a joy to see friends from all over Europe that we don't often get to see!

New phone managing capability

One of the reasons we are now using Squarespace as our web provider is that they offer an application that allows posting from my phone!
