Mountain View Baptist Church

Mountain View Baptist Church Website

Mountain View Baptist Church has been our home church since March, 1996. Of course, we are not biased, or anything, but we feel that it is the best church in the world! We have been privileged to work in many ministries in this church, including children’s ministries, the singles’ ministry, the music ministry, the school ministry, and others. Pastor Rouse (pictured left) has been pastor of the church for 20 years. Pastor Rouse also serves on the board of Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, North Carolina. Mountain View Baptist Church is located on the northeast side of Birmingham, near Trussville. The church also has a school ministry, from K-4 through the 12th grade. God is blessing here at Mountain View, and we are excited about being sent to Austria by this missions minded church!

What is The Mountain View Baptist Church?
It is a local, fundamental, Independent Baptist New Testament Church. A church is not a building, or an ecclesiastical hierarchy, but a local called out body of believers in Jesus Christ assembled together. We assemble for praise, worship, teaching, inspiration, winning of the lost and for food for the soul.

Why is The Mountain View Baptist Church Here?
Matthew 28:19, 20 is the great commission to the church and plainly tells its purpose.
Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. and In, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
We are here to tell of the Gospel - Good News. We are here to instruct and direct believers in obedience and in service to Christ.

What Do We Believe?
The Bible - We believe it to be the verbally inspired Word of God. It is the only complete and final revelation of God to man in this age, and is the standard and guide of conduct and action for the believer and the church.
The Blood - Without shedding of blood is no remission (of sin). Heb. 9:22. Even so the Son of Man came to give His life a ransom for many. Mt. 20:28
The Blessed Hope - This same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven. Acts 1:11. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. I Thes. 4:16, 17.
The New Birth - Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3. Rut as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God - which were born not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man. but of God. John 1:12, 13.
Eternal Life for the Believer - And I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish... John 10:28. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life. John 3:36.
